PAMELIA CHIA is a Singaporean food writer, cookbook author, and culinary teacher based in the Netherlands. With a background in food science and professional cooking, her work explores the stories, traditions, and cultural knowledge behind Asian food.

Through recipes, essays, teaching, and storytelling, Pamelia documents how food carries our histories, identities, and memories — from the disappearing knowledge of Singapore’s wet markets to the wisdom of Asian vegetable cooking.

She is the author of two national bestselling cookbooks: Wet Market to Table, a guide to Singapore’s wet markets and the diverse ingredients of Southeast Asia; and Plantasia, which celebrates Asia's rich culinary history with vegetables and offers a fresh perspective on plant-forward eating.

Her work has appeared in Channel News Asia, Serious Eats, Vittles, and other publications. She has taught and spoken internationally, sharing Asian food culture with audiences in Singapore, Australia, Europe, and beyond.

She is also the writer behind Singapore Noodles, a weekly newsletter exploring Asian food through recipes, stories, and reflections.
